Vexcel Image Services for ArcGIS
Offering easier—and faster—access to the world’s largest aerial imagery program in Esri apps and software.
Vexcel Image Services for ArcGIS provides insurers, government, and other industries easier and instant access to Vexcel’s imagery library inside Esri apps and software. No need for proprietary plug-ins.
ArcGIS users can access multiple imagery and elevation model products in 30+ countries. Plus, as Vexcel updates and refreshes its aerial library (up to 100,000 images per day!), the latest data automatically syncs into Image Services for ArcGIS.
Finer Resolution, Unmatched Accuracy
Vexcel matches its aerial imagery against ground control points for mapping-grade accuracy. Vexcel also runs every pixel through its world-class processing pipeline, publishing imagery to the highest standards (no clouds, no fog, no seamlines) and at a native resolution multiple times better than satellite imagery. This means ArcGIS users can build, design, and publish powerful maps with exceptional accuracy and consistency.
Get a complete view of a specific building or location with Vexcel’s oriented imagery library, including nadirs and oblique imagery.
Oblique: See 45-degree imagery of a location from four directions (north, east, south, west) at a 7.5cm resolution. Available in major cities and urban areas.
Nadir: See buildings from a top-down view. Available in urban and rural areas at resolution ranging from 20cm to 7.5cm.
Vexcel offers several top-down ortho products.
TrueOrtho: See urban areas and cities without building lean or seamlines at a 7.5cm resolution.
Wide Area Ortho: Viewing entire countries, states, or regions at scale and consistency. Published at a 15-20cm resolution.
Urban Ortho: Additional collection in metro areas in contiguous U.S. Published at 7.5cm resolution.
Multispectral: See impervious surfaces, vegetation health and more with this color-infrared (CIR) imagery. Available in urban and rural areas, ranging from 20cm to 7.5cm resolution.

Stream elevation models from our aerial collections into Esri software. Then render the dataset as your Esri client allows. Elevate products are a pixel-to-data match to the related Ortho products. The products include:
Digital Surface Models: DSM data represents the surface of the ground and objects on the earth, including natural and human-made structures. Absolute accuracy is 15cm for urban area collections; 100cm for wide area collections.
Digital Terrain Models: DTM data represents bare earth with above ground objects removed during processing. Absolute accuracy is 100cm.
Vexcel activates its fleet of fixed-wing aircraft after major disasters, including wildfires, hurricanes, and tornadoes. Get rapid access to high-resolution aerial imagery specifically for disaster response and analysis.
“Esri congratulates Vexcel on their 2023 EPC award in recognition of their innovative work leveraging ArcGIS software. We are proud to partner with Vexcel to foster the use of Esri technology in support of our mutual customers.” -Robert Laudati, Director of Global Partners and Alliances at Esri
By tapping into the world’s largest aerial imagery program, ArcGIS users across many industries can make good use of Vexcel’s stunningly clear imagery. Some useful applications include:
Asset management: monitor city or rural assets (pavement, traffic, safety systems, power lines) remotely and efficiently
Smart City design: envision the cities of tomorrow with immersive oblique imagery for project planning
Urban greenspace preservation: use CIR data to quickly identify vegetation health
Telecom network planning: streamline field operations and transmitter location identification for 5G networks
Transportation planning: use freeway and bridge imagery to mitigate route congestion when expansion is underway
