Following days of red flag warnings, rolling public safety power shutdowns, and extremely critical wildfire risk, several fires have broken out across the state.
Saddleridge Fire in Sylmar in Los Angeles County is currently posing the greatest risk, having ignited late last night and now grown to over 4,600 acres with 0% containment. Media reports indicate as much as 75 structures have already been destroyed with over 23,000 homes, roughly 100,000 people, under mandatory evacuations. Major interstates in the area of the fire are closed and numerous evacuation shelters are open.
