The annual Esri User Conference is one of the most anticipated events of the year; it brings in thousands of people from around the globe. And since this was the first time it was in-person since the pandemic began, there was plenty of excitement to be shared by exhibitors and attendees.
Our GIC team shared the booth with our operations partner, Vexcel, and used the time to highlight our latest aerial imagery products and data solutions. It was also the first time being able to showcase and demo our Elements* product line in person. This suite of products is generated by applying machine learning across our aerial imagery library and includes: Building Footprints, Building Attributes, Property Attributes, and Damage Assessment.
In the Damage Assessment example above, you can clearly see how the auto-generated data helps provide valuable insight for a building suffering damage after a wind event. But this is just one aspect of our Elements product line; you can also pull additional information on hundreds of millions of buildings through our Building Attributes product (pictured below) to aid in underwriting, risk analysis, and fraud detection.
Beyond our booth displays and demos, we also were able to share in-depth details and examples of how insurers are using our imagery and our Elements products. Rob Carroll, VP of Product, gave a presentation specifically for insurers focused on how our highly accurate, consistently reliable aerial imagery, geospatial data, and data solutions help solve multiple challenges throughout the policy life cycle. It also was a great opportunity to highlight our flagship program, Gray Sky, to those insurers unaware of our long running disaster imagery collection.
It was such a privilege and a joy to meet with so many face-to-face and help them discover better solutions for their policy life cycle challenges. We’re already looking forward to next year and we hope to see you there!
