Gray Sky: Bloomington, Indiana Tornado

Imagery is now live. The 10cm aerial imagery of tornado-damaged areas in Bloomington, Indiana is now published in the Vexcel Platform (Vexcel Viewer, Vexcel APIs). Users can access high-resolution imagery and begin reviewing impacted areas immediately.
This Gray Sky imagery can also be compared to previous collections for before-and-after analysis. Also note, we captured tornado damage in this area on May 18, 2025. All imagery is timestamped for detailed review and comparison.
Damage assessments for properties within yesterday’s collection area are also being delivered. Our thoughts go out to the communities impacted by this tornado event. If you need access to imagery for recovery efforts, please reach out below.

Today, our Gray Sky team activated to collect high-resolution aerial imagery of tornado-damaged areas in Bloomington, Indiana. Our flight crew captured 10cm aerial imagery focused on areas with property damage. This collection supports emergency response teams, insurers, government agencies, and recovery organizations.
What’s Next
The imagery is now in processing and will be edited overnight. It will be published in the Vexcel Platform as soon as possible. In addition to publishing the imagery, our team will analyze the collection and provide damage assessments for every property within the collection area. These assessments help organizations quickly understand impact at scale and prioritize response efforts.
