Q: What is already launched with Vexcel Intelligence?
A: We have the fuel to inform AI: highly accurate imagery and geospatial datasets. Vexcel Intelligence is the rocket.
Vexcel Intelligence is now live in Preview, and we are inviting companies to build with us.
We built our foundational model using multimodal data inputs, including high-resolution orthos, obliques, and additional datasets across select cities. The model is indexed and searchable, and it already delivers insights and results that were not possible before.
We also launched Vexcel Embeddings, Vexcel Embeddings API, and Vexcel Studio app to demonstrate the power of Vexcel Intelligence. These tools give developers and teams direct access to our foundational model, making imagery searchable, accessible, and ready for integration into real-world AI workflows. It’s working today.
Q: Why can you trust Vexcel Intelligence? Does it hallucinate like other AI?
A: Vexcel Intelligence is grounded in real-world imagery and data, not generated assumptions or random webpages. Its outputs are informed by what is visible on the ground across high-resolution aerial imagery and geospatial datasets collected by Vexcel.
Because the foundational intelligence layer is anchored to consistent geospatial data, results can be traced back to physical features and conditions visible in the imagery and underlying datasets. This grounding reduces hallucinations and makes outputs explainable, reviewable, and verifiable against the real world.
Q: How does Vexcel Intelligence differ from traditional AI and machine learning on imagery?
Vexcel has worked with traditional machine learning technologies for years, and many companies use our imagery and data to power their own AI models for feature identification, extraction, segmentation, and accurate geometries.
Vexcel Intelligence accelerates and expands AI’s understanding, discovery, and semantic interpretation across a imagery and data. It enables broader search across our imagery library and significantly reduces the time required to identify objects and understand context within imagery. It can also reduce processing costs to find objects. In addition, companies can layer their own secondary models on top of Vexcel Intelligence to extend capabilities even further, including their own segmentation models.
Q: How does Vexcel Intelligence differ from Vexcel’s Elements AI product?
A: Vexcel’s Elements AI focuses on predefined feature extraction using traditional AI/ML methods for properties and roadways, such as identifying the presence of a pool, roof type, or roof shape. We’ll continue to support this product suite for our customers.
Vexcel Intelligence goes broader, enabling semantic search, contextual understanding, and discovery across the imagery library. Feature extraction models remain critical in certain industries and can serve as secondary models to refine and enhance results generated by Vexcel Intelligence.
